Surgery + 1 year old= No Fun

Yesterday we had to be at the hospital at 6am. When Levi was born he had a problem and couldn't have his circumcision  done. The doctor thought it would probably correct itself on its on but wanted to make sure it didn't get worse. We didn't want 2 surgeries. So they decided to let him wait until he was a bit older. At the time I understood the reasoning but a year and having this done was no fun. He done so good though. He couldn't eat anything from Midnight the night before until after surgery. He got up and was so happy. He played with all the nurses. He was the hit of the day. There were two other kids back there in pre op. They screamed the whole time. So I was glad he was happy. I was about in tears when the nurse took him and walked away to the OR. We were told a hour at most probably less. It usually goes fast with kids. A hour and 20 minutes later I was freaking out. Everyone that went back after him was out. The doctor finally came and said it was a little worse than they thought. They thought everything was good now. I tell you what when I walked back there to post op and saw him. It was all I could do not to fall apart. The nurse was holding him and he was out. He looked so sweet and pitiful all at the same time. The nurses were saying they almost didn't call me back there because he was so sweet. They just wanted to sit and hold him. He is definitely my most loving baby! Yesterday he slept most of the day but when he woke up he was hurting really bad! he woke up this morning normal Levi. Playing laughing crawling walking a little. The worst part is no baths until Monday. He is going to be funky smelling until then. Sponge baths just don't cut it for a one year old boy. Bradley took him outside today and sit him in the grass. He had dirt from head to toe to mouth. Oh well we will live I guess.

I hope everyone has a good weekend. We have two ball games this weekend. So its gonna be another busy one!

 He thought Buzz was hilarious!
Mamie trying to keep him from jumping out of the bed.
I can not believe how big he is! He looks huge in this picture!
 After surgery!
She just took his IV out! Poor baby!
This was in the waiting room pre surgery reading!

Finally Normal

I just wanted to check in and say hey to everyone. Life has been going like crazy since I last posted. Levi has finally started walking. Bradley and I went out to dinner for our anniversary. The boys stayed with mom and of course you know he is going to start walking while we are gone. That kid is with me or Bradley all the time. Literally he never stays with mom. We are gone for a hour and she calls. He had taken like 6 steps. He still isn't real sure about it but he is doing good. Some more good news about Levi. I took him to the doctor last Friday and the she said he was NORMAL! Do you know how excited I was. He is  months old and everytime that child has been to the doctor I get nothing but bad news. The doctor was excited too she has been so worried about him. She said he is in the 49th percentile for his height. Which is awesome he is perfect right in the middle of the growth curve. And he was in the 14th percentile for his weight. I know that is low but you have to understand he has always been way under the curve. So we were excited. I know it was the prayers. He is doing so good just like a normal toddler. Have I mentioned he is a ham!! So cute and sweet and loving! I am so thankful for my boys!!

Fishing

Waiting on Daddy to get the poles ready
 Even Levi had fun fishing!
This is what happened most of the time Lucas and  Bradley fished.
Logan jumped off the rocks!

They couldn't be more alike if they wanted to
 Yes I am one!
 Lucas got one!

Lucas didn't want to touch it!
 Ain't he pretty
 Now Logan got one

Logan wasn't scared of it! LOL
Then we had to hear them whine "I want to keep it in my room" Please don't throw him back" LOL
 He was a happy fisher!
Bradley junior!

So last night we took the boys fishing. They had a blast. They both caught a fish so it was a success. Bradley and I used to go fishing all the time before we had kids. I guess I had it in my mind that we would all have our poles sitting in our chairs relaxing. Negative. I knew better than that. It was constantly Momma can you do that , Logan stop, Don't do that....Bradley and I never even got to fish. Oh well next time we are going without kids. LOL Yea right! Now the rest of the week will be baseball and church!

We had a great Easter weekend. Friday night was our singing and it was really good. It was our turn to work it. So it was kind of a blur. We didn't get home until 12:30am. Saturday I got up early had to go do some Easter shopping then had to be at the ball field at 2:30. Then out to Demo's for Dad's birthday dinner. Bradley took the kids home so I could finish the shopping. Then Sunday was Easter. The boys got up early. The Easter Bunny came and brought them fishing poles and a ton of candy.  It was also our anniversary. 11 years. It doesn't seem real that it has been that long. We had a really good day. Bradley fixed us breakfast. We decided against presents. It was actually one of the best anniversaries we have had. It kind of got over shadowed by Easter. We hunted eggs and the kids had a blast.
